About me…

Kate Fitzgerald is recent graduate from Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre, a Specialization in Playwriting and Dramaturgy, as well as a Minor in Gender Studies from Berklee College of Music.

Kate has worked at various regional theaters throughout New England, appeared in multiple short films, and recorded commercial voice over. Some of her favorite theatrical roles include: Eve in Her Naked Skin, Cunegonde in Candide, Amber Von Tussel in Hairspray! and Rosalie Wells in The Children’s Hour. Kate is an Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship Recipient, and a YoungArts Winner (Theater and Writing, 2019).

Outside of theater, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and their beloved dog, Oliver (named after a certain Dickensian orphan, since he’s always asking for more). Kate fills much of her free time with reading and writing, and has worked as a bookseller throughout high school and college. Here are some of her favorite recent reads: Worslut by Amanda Montell, Bunny by Mona Awad, Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl by Andrea Lawlor, and Big Swiss by Jen Beagin. Kate has received recognition from Princeton University, Trinity Repertory Company, and YoungArts for her writing, receiving awards for multiple one act plays she has authored. She continues to journal and write creatively when inspiration strikes.

Kate is committed to growing artistically and personally, and is excited to incorporate her identity as a queer woman along with her passion for creation into her future career.
